The Iranian Women in NZ (IWIN) is proud to present the first Iranian theatre performance in New Zealand, staged by the newly formed Afra Art Group under the direction of Forouzan Jalali, coinciding with Mother’s Day in Auckland.

 

The show is a lively satire, crafted with a humorous yet critical perspective, offering a light-hearted but sharp critique.

 

This performance, featuring Iranian artists including a cast of actors, a live music ensemble, and production crew, aspires not only to create a lasting artistic work but also to reflect on the cultural conditions of women in a particular period of Iran’s history.
